A14 Gas test button
Briefly pressing the button starts the gas test for 30
secs.
A15 Gas test LED
Lights up when the gas test is activated.
A16 Display units LEDs
Display whether values in the 7-segment display A12
are shown in metres per minute, percent, frequency,
voltage or seconds.
A19 Welding voltage LED
Lights up when the welding voltage/arc length in V
can be set using the rotary knob A44.
A20 Arc length LED
Lights up when the arc length in % can be set using
the rotary knob A44.
A21 Welding voltage/arc length button
Used to switch over between the main parameters
welding voltage and arc length.
Only available for the Synergic welding process or
optional extended processes.
A32 Welding process button
Used to switch over between the welding processes
Manual, Synergic, MMA, SpeedArc (optional), Speedup
(optional), Puls (optional) and TIG (optional).
A33 Mode button
Used to switch between the operating modes 2-stroke,
4-stroke, Spots, Interval, 4-stroke individual.
A34 Wire feed speed/welding current/material thickness
button
Used to switch over between the main parameters
Wire feed speed, Welding current and Material thick-
ness.
Only available for the Synergic welding process or
optional extended processes.
A35 Material thickness LED
Lights up when the material thickness can be set using
the rotary knob A41.
A36 Welding current LED
Lights up when the welding current can be set using
the rotary knob A41.
A37 Wire feed speed LED
Lights up when the wire feed speed can be set using
the rotary knob A41.
A40 Display units LEDs
Display whether values in the 7-segment display A4
are shown in millimetres, metres per minute or amps
A41 Rotary knob A41
Used to set the main parameters Wire feed speed,
Welding current and Material thickness.
A42 VRD LED (only for machines with VRD)
Lights up continuously when the VRD function is ac-
tive (reduction of idle voltage).
Flashes when the output voltage exceeds the value
approved in the standard (e.g. in welding operation).
A43 NFC read area (Near Field Communication)
Used to read out and write (optionally) NFC cards and
the connected functions.

A44 Rotary knob A44
Used to set the main parameters welding voltage and
arc length, as well as the electrode material.
A45 LED Tiptronic
lights up with activated Tiptronic mode.
You can switch between the active jobs using the
Menu 49 operating button.
A46 Tiptronic On/Off button
serves to switch the Tiptronic mode On and Off
A47 Tiptronic Setup button
serves to call up the Tiptronic menu.
Within the menu you can move back one level by
pushing this button.
A48 Menu LED operating button
lights up when the Menu 49 operating button can
be used to select (rotate) and confirm (push) a menu
point.
A49 Menu operating button
serves to:
• Menu selection (rotate)
• Menu point confirmation (push)
• Setting the secondary parameters (rotate)
In the Tiptronic mode:
• Job selection (rotate)
• Switch between job selection and arc dynamics
(push)
A50 Menu button
serves to call up the main menu.
Within the menu you can move back one level by
pushing this button.
A51 LED Dynamics
lights up if you can use the Menu 49 operating button
to set the arc dynamics.
A52 Graphic display
shows all information as a symbol or as clear text.
A53 Display of welding process
shows the selected welding process as a symbol.
A54 Display characteristic line/Job name
shows the selected characteristic line or type of gas.
The Job Name is displayed in the Tiptronic mode.
A55 Display of operating mode
shows the selected operating mode.
