Operating instructions for Vandal-Proof Box
Over many years the idea of protecting the energiser, the battery and, if necessary, the solar panel by using the high volta-
ge pulse they produce has been tried and tested. An unauthorised person touching the box or the frame of the solar panel
will receive a very uncomfortable and deterring electric shock. Only the owner can activate or deactivate the box by using
an insulated key. The box is anchored to the ground with an earth stake approx. 1 m long.
Installing the energiser in the box
Plug the battery lead cable into the power input socket on the rear of the energiser, and guide it to the outside through the
cable outlet located on the upper right-hand side of the energiser (front view). Insert the screws M6*16 in both of the top
outer bolt slots on the rear of the energiser housing. Secure each one with a nut and tighten firmly. All three upper bolt
slots must be used for fastening the P4500 and the P4600. Please make sure that each screw fits entirely into the bolt slot.
The screw M6*20 serves as the lower mounting fixture. It must also be inserted in the designated bolt slot and together
with the eyelet of the connecting cable must be secured with a nut, in order to form a mounting bolt. Then connect the
small red cable to the red fence output terminal of the energiser. Install the now-prepared energiser to the inside back wall
of the box. Prior to this, push the black rubber grommets into the screw holes that are not needed. When facing the box,
the energiser hangs vertically with the fence output terminal on the right side. On the outside of the box, place the reddish
brown vulcanised fibre rings as gaskets on the upper mounting bolts before attaching the nuts. To fasten the lower screw,
the washer 6*20 and the locknut will be used. The thicker black cable inside the box leads to the earth stake and must be
connected to the green earth terminal of the energiser. Now, one wire of the cable needs to be disconnected at a suitable
position and guided across the door contact switch in order to interrupt the 12 V electric circuit when the door is open.
In case the energiser has to be removed from the box, the door contact switch and the 12 V supply cable can remain in the
box – just detach the connector plug from the rear of the energiser. On the left-hand side facing the box is a larger cable
feedthrough intended for the connecting cable of the solar panel. Mount the solar panel brackets in front of the carry handle.
Note: The switch settings "Day save mode" and "Night save mode" (see Energiser User Manual) are only capable of func-
tioning conditionally since the save mode function is dependent on the amount of brightness in the surrounding area. But
inside the box it is permanently dark, indicating "Night".
