About This Documentation
These instructions contain important information for the
safe and appropriate assembly and commissioning of the
product.
O Read these instructions carefully, especially the
section "Notes on Safety", before working with the
product.
Additional documentation
O Also follow the instructions for the other system
components.
O Furthermore, observe general, statutory and other
binding rules of the European and national laws, as
well as the valid regulations in your country to protect
the environment and avoid accidents.
2
Notes on Safety
Danger of injury if assembled under pressure!
Assembling when under pressure can lead to injuries
and damage to the product or system components.
O Turn off the system operational voltage and
compressed air before assembling the pressure
regulator (4).
System is operating under pressure!
Incorrect installation could cause serious injury and
damage the maintenance unit/device.
O Pay attention that the molded seals (3, 5) on the
valve (2) and pressure regulator (4) are correctly
inserted.
3

Assembly, Commissioning
and Operation
Unscrew valve
O Remove the Phillips-head screws (6) on the valve (2).
Pull valve (2) from the subbase (7) with an upward
motion and unscrew the valve mounting screws (6)
from the valve (2) and replace them with the longer
Phillips-head screws (1) included in the scope of
delivery.
Mount the pressure regulator
1. Place the pressure regulator (4) on the subbase (7) and
pay attention that the molded seal (5) is correctly
inserted.
2. Place valve (2) on the pressure regulator (4) and pay
attention that the moldedseal (3) is correctly inserted.
3. Tighten the Phillips-head screws (1) included in the
scope of delivery with a tightening torque of 0.8 - 1.0
Nm (nutrunner speed 300 - 600 rpm).
Set the pressure regulator
A pressure gauge with a Ø4 compressed air hose
has to be mounted before the pressure can be set
on the pressure regulator.
1. Remove end plug (12) from the push-in fitting (13) and
insert the preassembled pressure gauge with Ø4
compressed air hose.
2. Apply P1 supply pressure to the system.
3. Remove the protective cap (8) from the pressure
regulator (11).
4. Hold the hexagon socket adjusting screw (SW5) (9) and
loosen the lock nut (SW10) (10).
5. Set the P2 secondary pressure with the hexagon
socket adjusting screw (9) (SW5):
– One complete rotation to the right/left corresponds
to raising/lowering the secondary pressure by
approx. 1.3 bar.
6. After the pressure regulator has been set, hold the
hexagon socket adjusting screw (SW5) (9) and tighten
the lock nut (SW10) (10).
7. Place the safety cap (8) on the pressure regulator (11).
8. Turn off the compressed air in the system.
9. Remove the pressure gauge with Ø4 compressed air
hose from the push-in fitting, and insert the end plug
(12) in the push-in fitting (13).
