7. MAINTENANCE (EXPERT PERSONNEL)

Warning:
Disconnect all poles of the humidifier from the
power supply system, close the water supply and
let the steam cylinder cool down prior to all mainte-
nance work. Injury or damage may otherwise
result.
Pluggit recommends that you carry out the following checks
approx. every 500 operating hours:
• Check the room humidity.
• Check the functioning of the humidifier.
In case of deviations carry out the following maintenance
work:
• Check the steam cylinder and the drain filter for limes-
cale and clean if necessary, see page 20.
• Check electrodes for limescale and wear, clean or re-
place if necessary, see page 20.
• Check water inlet valve and outlet valve for limescale
and wear and replace if necessary.
• Check control system, hygrostat and hygrothermal
transducer and replace if necessary.
Note:
Pluggit recommends that you record the regular main-
tenance work.

7.1. CLEANING/REPLACING THE STEAM CYLINDER

Risk of injury:
Before dismantling the steam cylinder, wait until
the steam cylinder has cooled down, since injury
may otherwise result.
The steam cylinder only needs replacing when the limes-
cale limits the development of the nominal steam output.

1. Close stopcock or angle valve (1).
2. Press button (2) for approx. 3 seconds and completely
drain the steam cylinder.
3. Press button (2) again briefly to close the water outlet
valve.
4. Press button (3).
5. Pull plug (4).
6. Loosen screw (5) and fold down cover (6).
