9. Connection and operation
The wall power supply may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands. There
is a risk of a fatal electric shock!
To avoid distortions or mismatchings that could damage the device, the audio con-
nector (white) may only be connected to an audio RCA output.
You may only connect the video connectors (yellow and black) to video outputs.
If you are not sure about the correct connection, contact our technical support or
another specialist.
To extend the audio and video signal, only use suitably shielded RCA
use of other cables might cause disturbances. Keep the length of the cables as short
as possible.
9.1 Explanation of connector plug colours
Red
= Connection for low-voltage plug of the provided wall power supply (12 V/DC)
Yellow
= AV1 connection
e.g. to connect a surveillance camera
Black
= AV2 connection
e.g. to connect another surveillance camera
White
= Audio input
9.2 Operation
• You can connect e.g. surveillance cameras to AV1 (yellow) and AV2 (black) (of course you might as
well use only one of the connections).
• Connect the audio signal to the white connection.
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the provided wall power supply (12 V/DC) to the red connection of
the adapter cable.
• Plug the wall power supply in a 230 V/AC 50Hz mains socket.
• Press the ON/OFF switch (8) on the monitor to turn on the monitor.
