4. Safety instructions

The guarantee will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with
these operating instructions. We assume no liability for any consequential damage!
We do accept any liability for personal injury or damage to property caused by incor-
rect handling or non-observance of the safety instructions. In such cases the war-
ranty/guarantee is voided.
• The system components must not be modified or rebuilt, as not only the CE
approval will become void but also the warranty/guarantee.
• The system components must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct
sunlight, intense vibration or heavy mechanical stress.
• If the monitor is used in connection with other devices e.g. a surveillance camera,
the operating instructions and safety instructions of the connected devices must
also be observed closely.
• The operation of the monitor with a suitable surveillance camera does not replace
personal supervision of children or people who require special assistance, but
serves only as a support to this supervision.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the monitor , the remote control and the wall
power supply require approx. 15 minutes to stabilise and adjust to the surround-
ing temperature before they can be used.
• Electronic devices are no toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• The wall power supply complies with safety class II. It may only be connected to a
standard household 230 V~/50 Hz mains supply socket.
• Please contact a qualified expert if you are not sure about the safety or the correct
use of the system components.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic foil/bags etc.
can become dangerous toys for children, there is risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible damage
- the device no longer functions
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over a long period of time
or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer 's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
