Usage horizontal
All the BLOCFOR have not been tested to work at horizontal
position on terrace. The devices which were approved for this
use are notched in the table of the specifications. For flat floor
use with steel wire rope, it is essential to connect a special web-
bing strap of 27 mm width and 2 m length (ref : 35032) between
the connector of exit of the device and the user. (figure 2.c).
Operating principle

In the event of a fall, the mechanism inside the blocfor gradually
locks using a disk brake system, and the fall is stopped smooth-
ly with a value of stop lower than 6 kN.
When the user is climbing upwards or downwards, the lanyard is
kept tensioned by the return spring.

with standard EN 360,
• is subject to the procedure referred to in Art. 11B of Directive
89/686/EEC, under the supervision of a notified body.
