The energy efficient standby buster is a remote controlled electrical extension socket that allows you switch
appliances off completely so that they use no electricity rather than leaving them on standby, unnecessarily
using electricity that is costing you money and contributing to harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the
environment.
The standby buster with 5 sockets is ideal if you have a large range of electrical appliances (AV or PC equipment)
which are often left on standby. The standby buster remote can control unlimited different appliances, simply
plug each appliance into the standby extension socket.
New independent research suggests that electricity savings of up to 100KWh energy power per year can be
achieved by introducing the Standby buster energy saving devices throughout your home.
With Over-current protection function, the item will automatically cut off power supply to protect itself and
the connected home appliances in case of short circuit or over load.
With surge protection function, it can absorb surges of small lighting strikes and surges from your domestic
power supply system to protect itself and your home appliances. Lengthens the lifetime of all connected
devices. It remains in "off" mode after a power cut, even when power comes on again.
Safety instructions
1. Please read the instruction manual carefully prior to using the unit.
2. Don't exceed the maximum load;
3. For indoor use only. It should be installed in a ventilated, cool place away from heat sources. Don't expose
to direct sunlight, rain and moisture.
4. When the remote control distance reduces or the remote control LED gets dim, replace the batteries by
new ones of the same type. Dispose the old batteries with consideration for environment protection.
Operation:
The transmitter has 5 group buttons with individual ON and OFF function. At every press on the "ON" button,
you will turn on the connected electrical device; if you press the "OFF" button, the corresponding connected
electrical device will be shut off automatically.
Programming a replacement remote control:
All remote controlled extension socket units have been pre-programmed and can be used immediately.
In case you have lost or broken your remote control and have received a new one, please follow instructions
below to get your new remote work with your extension sockets:
■ Plug the extension socket to a power point and turn the power on.
■ Press and hold the desired number button on remote control for about 5 seconds until the corresponding LED
indicator lights up.
The re-programming operation is successful if the desired number button on the remote control can operate
the programmed socket.
Attention: One group button on transmitter can only program one socket.
2.Only do the programming operation for one group button with corresponding socket, then the other four
group buttons with corresponding sockets will be programmed automatically.
