Handling the device properly
❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. You may not use the device if it (in particular
if a hotplate is damaged, even it is just a small crack!), the mains cord and the mains plug are
visibly damaged. Do not use the device if it malfunctions, has fallen down or in water.
❐ If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it or replace parts yourself. In the event
of damage, contact a professional or the customer service department.
❐ In the event of damages / malfunctions, immediately deactivate the device.
❐ Do not leave the device on when it is unattended.
❐ Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket
– if you are not using the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a storm,
– before you clean the device.
❐ If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the mains cable, but
always on the plug.
❐ Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Make sure that the device, the mains
cord or the mains plug can not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in
water, immediately disconnect the power supply. Do not attempt to pull the device out of
the water when it is connected to the power supply!
❐ Never touch the device, the mains cord or the mains plug with wet hands.
❐ Never place metallic objects (e. g. forks, knives, spoons, tins or aluminium foil) on the
induction hob. These objects could heat up when the device is turned on.
❐ Do not in any case heat up foods in sealed containers, such as tins, without fi rst removing
the lid.
❐ Never heat up pots or pans if they are empty to prevent damage to the device and the pot
or pan caused by heat.
❐ Make sure that the cookware being heated is located only on the hob. It may not be placed
on the control panel or on the frame.
❐ Check the base of the desired pot or pan for damages each time before using it! Do not use
the pot or pan if the base has any scratches, grooves or irregularities. They could damage
the device's ceramic glass plate.
❐ Do not push or pull pots or pans across the ceramic glass plate. This may scratch the plate.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not place any candles or vases on the device.
❐ After you have fi nished cooking, leave the mains cord in the socket until the fan for the
hotplate you used has come to a stop.
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded from the
warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
