ATTENTION!
❐ The device must always be in a horizontal position during operation.
❐ Connect the device directly to a power source, do not use multi-socket outlets or extension
cords.
❐ Never heat up pots or pans if they are empty to prevent damage to the device and the pot
or pan caused by heat.
❐ Make sure that children do not play with the device!
Setting the power levels and temperature
1. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and even surface (not made of metal!) at a suffi cient
distance to fl ammable objects.
2. Insert the power plug in an easily accessible, properly installed 220–240 volt socket. A signal
will then sound and the control light of the ON / OFF button will blink. The device is in
standby mode.
3. Place suitable cookware (see chapter "Induction cookware" in the centre of a hotplate.
4. Push the ON / OFF button. A signal will be emitted. If no button is pushed for approximately
30 seconds, the device will switch back to standby mode.
5. Now push either the POWER button to select a power level or the TEMP button to set
the number of degrees (temperature) directly:
– If you have pushed the POWER button, the selected hotplate will begin warming up the
pot or pan with power level 10.
With the / buttons, you can adjust the power level between 1–10. The active level
will appear on the display.
– If you have pushed the TEMP button, the hotplate will begin to heat up to 240 °C.
You can adjust the temperature in steps of 20 using the / buttons. The adjustable
temperature range is between 60 and 240 °C. The selected temperature will appear on
the display.
The temperature will be measured by a sensor under the ceramic glass plate. Thus, the
temperature displayed may differ from the temperature in the pot.
• You can switch between power level and temperature mode at any time by pushing
the corresponding button.
• You can remove the cookware briefl y off of the hotplate while cooking. If you place
it back on the hotplate within approximately 15 seconds, it will continue heating up
with the selected power or temperature setting. Otherwise the device will switch to
standby mode.
6. Push the ON / OFF button to turn off the hotplate.
Please note: The device cannot be turned off completely; it switches to standby mode!
7. After you have fi nished cooking, leave the mains cord in the socket until the fan for the
hotplate you used has come to a stop. Then pull the mains plug out of the socket to clean
and / or store the device.
