Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this Hendi appliance. Please read this manual carefully before connecting the
appliance in order to prevent damage due to incorrect use. Read the safety regulations in particular very
carefully.
Safety regulations
• Incorrect operation and improper use of the ap-
pliance can seriously damage the appliance.
• This scale may only be used for the purpose for
which it was designed. The manufacturer accepts
no liability for damage as a result of incorrect op-
eration and wrong use.
• Keep the scale away from water and any other
liquids. If the appliance should accidentally fall
into water, have it checked by a certified techni-
cian.
Battery Safety Instructions
• Danger of explosion! The batteries must not be
charged, or re-activated by other means, disas-
sembled, throw into fire or short-circuited.
• Do not expose batteries to extreme tempera-
tures, like direct sunlight or fire. Do not place
near any heat source.
• Caution! Danger of explosion if batteries are in-
correctly replaced. Replace batteries only with
the same or equivalent type. Do not mix old and
new batteries or batteries of different types or
brands.
• Never try to open the housing of the scale your-
self.
• Do not insert any objects into the housing of the
scale.
• Do not use the scale if it has been dropped or oth-
erwise damaged. Have it checked and repaired, if
necessary, by a certified repair company.
• Always insert batteries correctly with regard to
the polarities (+ and -) marked on the battery.
• Swallowed batteries are lethal. Keep batteries out
of reach of children and pets. Immediately ask for
medical assistance if battery is swallowed.
• Remove the batteries if you will not use the kitch-
en scale for an extended period of time.
• Batteries shall be stored in well-ventilated, dry
and cool conditions.
