b) Inserting/removing battery
• Slide the battery into the battery compartment (11) as shown until it clicks into
place.
• To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery and pull it out of
the battery compartment (11).
c) Mounting and adjusting rip fence
The rip fence makes it possible to guide the circular saw cleanly along a workpiece edge. It can be attached
to both sides.
• Slightly loosen the locking screw (6) for the rip fence.
• Slide the rip fence (8) into the guides on the base of the circular saw.
• Set the desired distance to the workpiece edge using the markings on the
base. There is a marking for vertical cuts (0°) and a marking for mitre cuts
(45°).
• Tighten the rip fence locking screw (6).
d) Connecting dust extraction system
In order to avoid dust from entering the respiratory tract and an unclean workplace, a dust extraction system should
always be used at work. A household vacuum cleaner, a wet-dry vacuum or a professional dust extraction system can
be connected for this purpose.
• Connect the suction hose of your dust extraction system to the dust extraction
connectors (1) on the appliance.
• The dust extraction adapter (7) can be connected or disconnected depending
on the connection size of the suction hose.
