2 Cut the retaining cable tie at the bottom of the light and
discard (replacement of this item is not necessary as it is used to
retain the lamp during transit). Figure 5.
3 Remove the plastic lamp clip at top of lamp (this is a two part
moulding and can be removed by placing a thumb under one
side and flicking it free, it can sometimes be quite stiff), and
slide lamp out. Figure 6.
4 Insert new lamp and replace lamp clip.
5 Reassemble the box, ensuring that the reflector is correctly
positioned and replace screws. (In the wooden boxes there
are 6 small plastic clips around the screen where the reflector
locates. If it does not, you can carefully insert a fine screw
driver through slots in the front of the diffuser and 'flick' it
into place.)
* If the back of the wooden box will not come out, insert some longer
screws into the screw holes. Leave these proud and they will give you
leverage to remove the back which can sometimes be a little stiff.
TO CHANGE LAMPS IN THE DIAMOND RANGE
As above, but the screws are located on the back of the box. Only
the screws holding the diffuser need to be removed. (Do not
remove the bottom 2 screws as this removes the ballast cover.)
TO CHANGE LAMPS IN THE TRAVEL LITE
1 Disconnect lightbox from the mains supply and remove the
screws around the edge of the box, and remove the front.
2 Unscrew the old lamp by holding the base not the tubes,
these can be quite tight. Figure 7.
3 Insert and screw in the new lamp and tighten as much as
possible. It needs to be screwed down as far as possible to make
a good connection.
4 Replace front.
N.B. The two longer screws go at the top of the light box.
