5 Anschlüsse herstellen
Als Signalquelle lässt sich ein Audiogerät mit Line-
Ausgang (z. B. Mischpult, CD-Spieler, Tape-Deck
etc.) oder ein Mikrofon anschließen. Das Gerät bzw.
das Mikrofon an die XLR-Buchse (2) oder an die
6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchse (3) anschließen.
Danach das beiliegende Netzkabel an die Netz-
buchse (5) anschließen und mit einer Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) verbinden.
6 Bedienung
Vor dem Einschalten den Regler VOL (9) in die Posi-
tion „0" drehen, um eventuelle Einschaltgeräusche
zu vermeiden.
1) Die Eingangsempfindlichkeit einstellen:
a) Ist ein Audiogerät mit Line-Ausgang ange-
schlossen, die Taste LINE/MIC (4) ausrasten.
Ist ein Mikrofon angeschlossen, muss die
Taste gedrückt sein.
b) Den Regler GAIN (1) vorerst in die Mittelposi-
tion drehen.
2) Die angeschlossene Signalquelle einschalten.
3) Die Aktivbox mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter POWER
(12) einschalten. Als Betriebsanzeige leuchtet
die rote LED (11).
4) Mit dem Regler VOL (9) die Lautstärke einstellen.
Bei entsprechender Lautstärke leuchten die grü-
nen Signalanzeigen (10) auf (Anzeige HF für die
Höhen, LF für die Bässe und Mitten).
Treten Signalverzerrungen auf, weil das Ein-
gangssignal zu groß ist, den Regler GAIN (1) ent-
sprechend zurückdrehen. Wird die gewünschte
Lautstärke nicht erreicht, weil das Eingangssig-
nal zu niedrig ist, den Regler GAIN entsprechend
weiter aufdrehen.

3 Applications
The active speaker system PAK-115/SW with a
38 cm (15") subwoofer and a dynamic horn speaker
is suited in an optimum way for PA and DJ applica-
tions (e. g. for live performances of small bands,
dancing events etc.)
It is equipped with an active 2-way system: a
175 W power amplifier for the bass speaker and a
30 W power amplifier for the tweeter. The input sen-
sitivity of the balanced input can be switched from
line level to microphone level and additionally be
adapted with the gain control. For sound adjustment
a 3-way equalizer is provided.
4 Setting-up
The active speaker system can be placed on the
floor as desired or on a PA speaker stand (e. g.
PAST series from the product range of "img Stage
Line") via the stand sleeve on the lower side of the
unit. To fix the speaker system on the stand, tighten
the screw (13) of the stand sleeve.
5 Making the connections
As a signal source connect an audio unit with line
output (e. g. mixer, CD player, tape deck, etc.) or a
microphone. Connect the unit or the microphone to
the XLR jack (2) or to the 6.3 mm jack (3).
Then connect the supplied mains cable to the
mains jack (5) and to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

5) Mit den Klangreglern (8) das gewünschte Klang-
bild einstellen: Die Tiefen (Regler LOW), Mitten
(Regler MID) und Höhen (Regler HIGH) lassen
sich bis ±15 dB regeln. In der Mittelstellung der
Regler findet keine Klangbeeinflussung statt.

6 Operation
Prior to switching on, turn the control VOL (9) to
position "0" to prevent possible switching-on noise.
1) Adjust the input sensitivity:
a) If an audio unit with line output is connected,
release the button LINE/MIC (4). If a mi-
crophone is connected, the button must be
pressed.
b) Turn the control GAIN (1) to mid-position for
the time being.
2) Switch on the connected signal source.
3) Switch on the active speaker system with the
POWER switch (12). The red LED (11) lights up
as a power indication.
4) Adjust the volume with the control VOL (9). In
case of corresponding volume the green signal
indications (10) light up (indication HF for the
high range, LF for the bass range and midrange).
If signal distortions occur because the input
signal is too high, turn back the control GAIN (1)
correspondingly. If the desired volume is not
reached because the input signal is too poor, turn
up the control GAIN correspondingly.
5) With the equalizing controls (8) adjust the desired
sound: it is possible to control the bass range
(control LOW), the midrange (control MID), and
the high range (control HIGH) up to ±15 dB. In
mid-position of the controls the sound will not be
affected.
