15. General warranty terms
15.1. General information
The product is guaranteed for 24 months, with effect from the day of purchase. The
warranty relates to material and product damage of all kinds which can occur dur-
ing normal use.
Please keep the original proof of purchase in a safe place. The guarantor reserves
the right to refuse to carry out repairs under the warranty or to acknowledge the
warranty if this receipt cannot be provided.
Please ensure that the product is safely packaged for transportation if it needs to be
sent in. Unless stated otherwise, you are required to bear the postage cost and the
transportation risk. The guarantor cannot assume any liability for any materials sent
in with the product which are not part of the original package contents.
Please provide the guarantor with as detailed a description of the fault as possible
with the product. Please contact the hotline of the guarantor or the service portal in
order to register claims before sending in the product. You will be given information
about how to proceed.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights and is governed by the applica-
ble law of the country in which the product was first purchased by the end custom-
er.
15.1.1. Scope of warranty
If the product which you have purchased has a defect which is covered by this war-
ranty, the guarantor will repair or replace the product. It is for the guarantor to de-
cide between repair or replacement. In this respect, the guarantor may decide at its
own discretion to replace the product sent in for repair under the warranty with a
reconditioned product of the same quality.
No warranty shall be assumed for batteries, rechargeable batteries or consumables,
i.e. parts which have to be replaced at regular intervals during the service life of a
product, e.g. projector bulbs.
Pixel errors (permanently coloured, light or dark spots) are not generally regarded
as defects. Please refer to the handbook for this product where the exact number of
permissible defective pixels is specified.
No warranty shall be assumed for burn-in on plasma or LCD screens which has arisen as
a result of incorrect use of the product. Please refer to the handbook for this product set-
ting out the exact operating instructions for the plasma or LCD equipment.
The warranty does not extend to data retrieval errors where data have been stored
in an incompatible format or produced with unsuitable software.
If, in the course of carrying out the repair, it turns out that the fault is not covered by
the warranty, the guarantor reserves the right to invoice the customer for the costs
incurred by way of a flat rate handling charge and to charge the customer for the
material and labour costs according to a cost estimate. Customers will be informed
of this procedure in advance and invited to accept or reject these arrangements.
