grass. Keep your hands and feet away from the
rotating blade! Always unplug the lawnmower before in-
spection, cleaning or work under or on the lawnmower.
Never try to adjust the cutting height when the motor
is running.
If you run over anything or if the lawnmower vibrates
abnormally, stop the lawnmower immediately and wait
until all moving parts have stopped. Then investigate
the cause, be careful as above, and deal with the fault
before continuing to mow the grass.
Never lift or tilt the machine when the engine is run-
ning. Ensure that the power cable is disconnected and
that the blade has stopped before lifting or tilting the
machine.
Slopes should be mowed with great care. Never pull
the lawnmower upwards and downward when mowing
slopes. Be particularly careful when turning on slopes.
Take care to stop the lawnmower if people or ani-
mals move into the cutting area.
Be careful when you approach hidden corners and
objects that may obscure your view.
Be aware of hollows, roots or bumps. High grass
can hide obstacles.
Be particularly careful when reversing the machine or
pulling it towards you.
Turn off the lawnmower when crossing areas con-
taining gravel.
Always unplug the lawnmower when leaving the
machine unattended and wait until all moving parts
have stopped.
A faulty cutting attachment may increase the risk of
accidents.
The handle
Fit the handle to the handle link and tighten the handle
link. Make sure the cables do not get caught! If the
height of the handle is not comfortable, try moving the
handle screws (position D) to the top position. Use the
attached cable tie to fasten the cable to the handle.
Adjusting the cutting height
The cutting height can be easily adjusted using a
single lever located by the left back wheel (position E).
Move the lever forward for a higher grass height. The
positions of the lever correspond to a cutting height of
25-50 mm.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT BEFORE USE
Do not start a lawn mower unless the cutter and all
covers are fi tted correctly. Otherwise the cutter could
come loose and cause personal injuries.
Maintenance and storage
In order to prevent the engine starting accidentally,
always remove the power cable when servicing the
machine.
Only use original spare parts.
The cutting blade is sharp and may cut you. Use
protective gloves when working on the blade.
Be aware of the danger of crushing injuries when
adjusting the lawnmower.
Check that all the safety controls are secured and
function correctly.
Never use the machine in the rain and always store
it in a dry location. Disconnect the power cable when
storing it so that the machine cannot start accidentally.
Before starting the engine
Inspect the lawnmower and check that the blades are
in good condition, the blade bolt and other screws are
tightened and that the lawnmower is free of damage.
Never use a defective lawnmower!
Ensure that the cable is free of damage and intended
for outdoor use. First connect it to the lawnmower and
attach it to the cable grip that hangs from the handle
and then to an earthed socket with a 10A inert fuse
connected to an earth switch.
