Description and application
There are two versions of the explosion protected portable search light
available.
SEB 10
The SEB 10/SEB 10L search light is designed for charging in the
LG 443 charger
or in the motor vehicle charger 90 (Order No.: 1 1145 000 792).
SEB 10 L
The SEB 10 L search light contains an additional charger unit inside of the
lamp head and can be charged using the built-in line cord directly at 230 V
supply.
The portable search light SEB 10 and SEB 10 L are composed of two
functional units:
1. Lamp head
2. Battery container
Function SEB 10 and SEB 10 L
A rotary switch (fig. 1, item 1) with 5 switch positions is arranged below
the carrying handle.

Note:
If the search light with boost function is switched on for
more than 5 minutes up to 15 minutes, this function can be

Safety circuit
Automatic switchover to appox. 50% of the rated luminous flux (search
light or work light) when a residual capacity of < 10% of the battery capac-
ity is reached.

If the seachlight LED fails, automatic switchover to work light.
Deep-discharge protection
To protect the battery, the portable search lights feature a deep-discharge
protection.
Emergency lighting function
If the supply voltage is interrupted during charging at the mains, the
emergency light switches on automatically. The emergency lighting
function is effective in all switch positions except the switch position OFF "0".
LED display
There is an LED charge state and capacity / fault display on the side of the
lamp head (page 2, fig. 1, item 2).

If the electronics fail, all the light functions are switched off.

fault indication, continuous light = battery fault
If the battery fails, it has to be replaced
(see also table "Operating and fault indication" - page 11).
Lamp head
The lamp head is fitted by means of a pivot joint and can be moved
vertically through 100° (see page 2, fig. 1).
Filter compartment (Fig 6 - 8)
A swivelling holder for the slip-on filters is locked in on the back of the
lamp head.
Max. three slip-on filters (diffusing lenses) can be kept in the holder.
To ensure safe transport in areas with an explosive atmosphere,
store the slip-on filters in the slip-on filter holder or in the holder for
the screw connection ring.
On the bezel ring are located spring-loaded cams (fig. 8, item 1) into
which one slip-on filter can be inserted (Mind: Insert from one side only).
To ensure the steadfastness of the portable search light, a slide on the
bottom of the light shall be pulled out (fig. 3, item 1).
SEB 10 L:
With the SEB 10 L portable search light, the charging cable can be
accessed by turning the slip-on filter holder see fig. 6.
