Setting up
!
You will need a clean, level and stable surface on
which to place your PC. Leave a space of at least
8 cm at the rear for the cabling and to provide ad-
equate air circulation.
¶
Protect your PC from extremes of temperature and
high humidity. Do not place your PC in direct sun-
light, near hot water pipes or other heat-emitting
objects.
¶
Do not place your PC near devices that generate ma-
gnetic fields. Even a telephone placed too close to a
PC can cause problems.
¶
Use a socket strip for 240 V AC. We recommend an
overvoltage protection device for guarding against
mains voltage spikes.
¶
Ideally, locate your PC where you will not require any
extension cables. Power consumption will increase
sharply if peripherals such as monitors and printers
are required.
