Check the compression fittings and meter for
leak-tightness.
ƒ
Turn the integrator to an easy-to-read position.
ƒ
Press the button on the meter to switch on the display.
ƒ
Fit lead seal to meter.
4.3 Changing the measurement insert
(WESAN E)
For approval purposes, a seal or sticker (user
seal) must be attached (between housing and
housing cover).
The meter tamper-evident seal must not be damaged!
A damaged seal will result in immediate invalidation of the
factory warranty and calibration/conformity.

4.4 Calming Sections (WESAN E)

ƒ
Where Woltman meters are used, there should be a
straight pipe section upstream and downstream of the
meter with a diameter equal to the nominal diameter
of the meter. The length of this pipe section should be
at least three times the nominal diameter.
ƒ
With a compound meter (WPV) no calming section is
required downstream of the meter.
ƒ
If there is a pipe elbow upstream of the meter, a calm-
ing section of 5D is necessary.
ƒ
If the prescribed calming sections are not adhered to,
then installation of an aerator is recommended.
ƒ
For multi-jet impeller meters, the water meter fitting is
sufficient as a calming section.
