Generally, you can use any wool fibre for
needle felting. Just as with the wet felting
process, when felting wool with the needle
felting technique, the wool will shrink in
size by about one-third. In order to obtain
a certain size, then this degree of shrinkage
must be planned from the start.

TIP:
When preparing your materials, the wool
should always be torn and not cut. The
varying fibre lengths that occur from tearing
are easier to felt into one another.
