16. Do not use saw blades manufactured from high speed steel.
17. Wear suitable personal protective equipment when necessary, including:
a) hearing protection to reduce the risk of induced hearing loss
b) eye protection: various particles could fly into your eyes in the course of use
the machine and impair your sight permanently.
c) respiratory protection to reduce the risk of inhalation of harmful dust.
d) gloves for handling saw blades (saw blades should be carried in a holder
wherever practicable) and rough material
18. Connect the saw to a dust collecting device when sawing wood.
19. Always store the device in a dry location. Always store the device in a frost-free
environment. Protect the device from becoming damaged during transportation.
20. Keep the floor area free of loose material e.g. chips and cut-offs.
21. Ensure the speed marked on the saw blade is at least equal to the speed
marked on the saw.
22. Ensure that any spacers and spindle rings used are suitable for the purpose as
stated by manufacturer.
23. Minimum size of workpiece: 3 mm height and 10 mm width.
24. Minimum cross-section size of the workpiece for cross-cutting: Saw technical
data sheet.
25. Make sure that the workpiece is always secured with the clamping device.
Wear a dust mask when you use the tool.
!
Some dust created by power sawing contains chemicals known to
cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some ex-
amples of these chemicals are
• lead from lead-based paints,
WARNING
• crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry pro-
ducts, and arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of
work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area,
and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are spe-
cially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HANDLING OF SAW BLADES
• Only use saw blade if you have mastered their use.
• Observe the maximum speed. The maximum speed specified on the saw blade
may not be exceeded. If specified, observe the speed range.
• Observe the motor / saw blade direction of rotation.
