During disc playback and when paused, each time the DISPLAY but-
ton is pressed, the information shown on the display changes as
follows.

Dimmer
You can adjust the brightness of this unit's display and indicators.
Dimmer3 (ordinary brightness)

Off
o If you turn the dimmer off, the display will be dark.
o Even when the dimmer is set to off, the display will still light for
about three seconds when you press the play button, for example.
o Even when set to any value other than Dimmer3, ordinary bright-
ness (Dimmer3) will be used when displaying error messages and
setting menus.
o If you press a button on the unit or the remote control when
the display is off, the unit will not respond to the button pushed,
but the display will light for about three seconds (with Dimmer3
brightness). Press the button for the function that you want to use
while the display is lit.
