Attaching
Lower Handle
(Hardware A)
= Raise the rear of the deck and place it on a
block securely.
* Place the lower handle over the deck aligning
the lower two holes inthe handle with the
Flange N ut
corresponding holes on the deck. See Figure
2.
Attach the lower handle to the deck with
shoulder screws in the upper hole and hex
screws in the lower hole as shown in Figure
2, secure both with hex flange Iocknuts.
Tighten securely.
Attaching
Upper Handle
(Hardware B)
• Place the upper handle in position over the
lower handle. The blade control must be on
the upper side of the handle.
= Secure the upper handle to the lower handle
using the carriage bolts, Iockwashersand
hex nuts, see Figure 3. Make sure that the
carriage bolt heads go on the outside of the
handle.
Attaching
the Chute Deflector
(Hardware D)
The chute deflector provided isa safety device.
Do not operate the mower unless the chute
deflector has been properlyinstalled.
• Place the chute deflector in position on the
deck, aligning holes. See Figure 4.
• Insertthe carriage bolts from the underside
of the deck up through the chute deflector.
Secure each bolt with a flat washer and
Iocknut.
• Make certain all nuts and bolts are tightened
securely.
