oPERATIoN
a) Setting the time, 12h/24h mode and date/month
• To start the setting mode, the device must be in time mode (the colon between hours and minutes
flashes).
Keep the "MODE" button (4) impressed for about 2 seconds until minutes of the time blink.
• Use the "ADJ" button (5) to set the minutes.
For quick adjustment, hold the "UP" button (5) down for a longer period of time.
I f you do not press any button for one minute, the settings made up to this point are saved
and the settings mode is closed.
This also applies for the settings described below.
• Press the "MODE" button (4) and the hours will start to blink; set them using the "ADJ" button (5).
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (4) and the "12h" or "24h" display for the 12h/24h display mode
will start to blink; set the desired mode using the "ADJ" button (5).
I n the 12h mode, "AM" is displayed during the time before noon to the left of the time, and
"PM" during the afternoon.
• Press the "MODE" button (4) briefly and the month will start to blink; set it using the "ADJ" button
(5).
• Press the "MODE" button (4) briefly and the date will start to blink; set it using the "ADJ" button
(5).
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (4) to exit the setting mode.
b) Selecting the temperature units °C/°F
Briefly press the °C/°F button (7), in order to change between °C (degrees Celsius) and °F
(degrees Fahrenheit).
c) Month/date display
Briefly press the "ADJ" button (5) to display the month and date. After about 3 seconds, the display
switches back to the time again.
d) Maximum/minimum values
Displaying the values
The hygrometer/thermometer saves the extreme values for temperature and air humidity automati-
cally. Briefly press the "MEM" button (6) several times, to toggle between the following displays:
• Maximum values ("MAX" appears in the display)
• Minimum values ("MIN" appears in the display)
• Current measured values
T he display of the maximum or minimum values automatically changes back to the display of
the current readings after 10 seconds if no button is pressed.
Resetting/deleting values
If "MAX" or "MIN" is shown in the display, you can delete/reset these values by holding the "MEM"
button (6) pressed for about 3 seconds.
e) Alarm function
Displaying the alarm time
Briefly press the "MODE" button (4) several times, to toggle between the following displays:
• Alarm time (the colon between hours/minutes does not blink)
• Time (the colon between hours/minutes blinks)
Setting the alarm time
• Briefly press the "MODE" (4) button so the alarm time is displayed (the colon between the hours
and minutes does not blink).
• Keep the "MODE" button (4) impressed for about 2 seconds until minutes of the alarm time blink
in the display.
• Use the "ADJ" button (5) to set the minutes of the alarm time. For quick adjustment, hold the but-
ton down for a longer period of time.
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (4) and the hours of the alarm time will start to blink; set them
using the "ADJ" button (5). For quick adjustment, press and hold down the corresponding button
for a little longer.
• Briefly press the "MODE" button (4) to exit the setting mode.
Switching the alarm function on/off, switching the hour signal on/off
• Briefly press the "MODE" (4) button so the alarm time is displayed (the colon between the hours
and minutes does not blink).
• Briefly press the "ADJ" (5) button several times to switch the alarm function and/or the hour signal
on or off.

I f the hour signal is switched on, the device will play a beep at each full hour.
Stopping the alarm signal
• At the set alarm time an alarm signal will be emitted.
• To stop this, briefly press any key.
T he alarm signal is terminated automatically after 1 minute if no button is pressed.

f) Comfort indicator
The comfort indicator displays the condition of the indoor air at a glance. Based on the temperature
and humidity present at the place where the hygrometer/thermometer is set up, it calculates what
the room climate is like:
g) Reset
In case of a failure in the display (e.g. after inserting the battery or replacing the battery), unfold the
stand and briefly press the counter-sunk "RESET" button (8) using e.g. a toothpick. All settings are
lost after a reset.
Alternatively, remove the battery and replace it again after a few seconds.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
The battery needs changing when the display contrast is reduced considerably.
For charging proceed as described above in "Getting started".
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you. Maintenance
or repair work may be performed only by qualified personnel or a specialised repair shop. There
are no product components which have to be maintained. For this reason, never open it (except for
exchanging the battery, as described in these operating instructions).
Use a clean, dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
Do not press too hard on the display, this may cause scratch marks or the display to malfunction;
furthermore, the display might break.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage (discolour) the housing or even impair operation.

As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used/rechargeable batter-
ies; disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold.
You will thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
