START-UP
• Open the battery compartment by sliding its cover (9) downwards.
• Insert a battery type AAA/Micro into the battery compartment with the
correct polarity (note positive/+ and negative/-). All display segments
appear briefly on the display; then the first measured value for the
temperature and air humidity will be displayed.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Place the product on a stable and level surface. Protect valuable
furniture surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratches.
For the operation of the device choose a place that is not directly
exposed to the sun and not located close to a radiator. This will lead
to a false temperature or air humidity indication.
• You can also hang the product on a hook, nail or screw using the
opening (2) at the rear.
I t is possible to operate the product with a rechargeable battery. However, the operating
time and the display contrast are greatly reduced due to the lower voltage (battery = 1.5 V,
rechargeable battery = 1.2 V).
W e therefore recommend to use high-quality alkaline batteries only instead of rechargeable
batteries to operate the product.
