3. Assembly
Before you begin, choose a clean place for assembly that is free of rocks or other sharp objects. Unroll the kayak and lay it out flat with
the top facing up. The kayak fin must be installed when you use the kayak in shallow water.
Inflate the boat with a hand or foot pump. Do not use a compressor.
The air chamber should be inflated by an adult in the numerical order indicated on the valve. If the sequence is not followed, the boat
may not inflate properly. Inflate each chamber until it feels firm. Do not over inflate. Fill with ambient air only.
How to use the Boston valve
1. Double valve cap (valve lets air in, not out).
2. Cap for quick release of air.
3. Unscrew the double valve cap.
4. Insert the output end of the air pump into the valve and inflate. Do not over inflate; do not use a compressor.
5. To release air: unscrew quick release cap.
CAUTION: The double valve does not work if the quick release cap is disassembled. Do not unscrew this cap when the kayak is
in the water.
Installation of the seats
1. Slowly inflate each seat cushion to approximately 75% of its capacity.
2. Slowly inflate the seat cushions until they feel firm, but NOT hard.
DO NOT OVER INFLATE!
3. To remove the seats, first deflate the seats and reverse the installation procedure.
4. Some seats are attached to the front, middle or back of the kayak after inflation.
Fastening the tether
IMPORTANT: To properly install the kayak's grab line and/or accessory lines, you must first inflate the boat. If necessary, begin
installing the grab line at the rear of the kayak by passing it completely around the outside through the rope holders. Tie the two
loose ends at the rear of the boat into a square knot.
Make sure the tether rope is threaded completely through the rope holders on the outside of the boat, even after the rear or front
cover is removed. The tether line must always be attached to the boat.
