KAYAK USE INFORMATION
This instruction manual for the kayak "Apollo Sea Lion" contains important safety instructions as well as information on assem-
bly and handling. Keep this user manual in a safe place for the entire service life of your kayak. If you pass the kayak on to a
third party, be sure to include this instruction manual.

WARNING: Read the instruction manual carefully, especially the warnings marked with a red warning triangle, before using the
kayak. Failure to comply with this instruction manual may result in danger to life, injury and damage to the kayak.
This kayak is designed for recreational fun, but is not a piece of sports equipment. In particular, the kayak must not be used for
rafting (white water rafting) and not for commercial purposes.
1. Safety and hazard information
IMPORTANT WARNINGS (RISKS OF LIFE AND INJURY)
- For non-swimmers prohibited: The kayak may only be used by persons who can swim!
- The kayak is not a toy! It must not be used by children under the age of 14 and must not be left to them, nor must the carrying
bag, packaging and accessories.
- Danger of suffocation due to small parts: Small children (0 to 3 years) must be kept away from the contained small parts as
well as packaging materials!
- Always wear a life jacket when you are on the water with the kayak.
- Always inform a contact person about your planned route and the time of your planned return before starting the trip, if you
want to go outside of secured swimming areas.
- Never use the kayak while under the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs.
- Never overestimate your own abilities. Never go farther than your muscle strength will allow for the return trip. Allow for
possible headwinds and increasing winds on the way back.
- Keep your distance from ships / shipping lanes, obstacles and rapids.
- Do not ride in high waves or during tidal changes.
- Never use the kayak in offshore wind (wind blowing from land toward water) or offshore current (current leading away from
shore). You could be swept away. Familiarize yourself with the water body before each trip.
- Weather Risks: Never sail - even on inland waters - in high winds, thunderstorms or other severe weather. Leave the water im-
