10. Decommissioning
If the dirty water pump is to be disconnected from the hose (e.g. for cleaning, maintenance or storage in winter),
proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the dirty water pump from the power supply, pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Pull the dirty water pump from the water by the attachment rope or carry handle.
The dirty water pump must never be pulled out by the mains cable or hose! This may damage the mains
cable; there is danger to life from electric shock!
• Disconnect the hose from the dirty water pump.
• Let residual water run out of the dirty water pump by holding it diagonally.
• Dry the dirty water pump and the mains cable. Coil up the mains cable.
• Store the dirty water pump in a frost-protected and dry room over winter.
Also consider emptying the hoses placed outdoors to prevent frost damage; open any water taps that may
be installed.
• Carry or transport the dirty water pump only by the carry handle. Never hold it by the hose or even the mains cable.
• After operation or emptying, a small amount of water may remain in the dirty water pump. Therefore, use a suitable
support when storing or transporting it in a vehicle.
11. Maintenance and Cleaning
The dirty water pump has no parts that require maintenance by you. Therefore, never open or disassemble it. Mainte-
nance or repair and opening of the dirty water pump in this context must only be performed by a specialist or specialist
workshop.
Before cleaning, switch off the dirty water pump and disconnect it from the mains voltage; pull the mains plug from
the mains socket.
To clean the outside of the dirty water pump, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. If required, flush the outside with
clear water.
Any contamination of intake openings may be removed under running water (e.g. garden hose). The dirty water pump
inside may be flushed with running water as well by removing the hose and any connection piece.
Dry the dirty water pump and the mains cable before storing it.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these may
damage the casing or even impair function.
