6. Safety Information
Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not follow the safety
instructions and information on proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume
no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
a) Special instructions
• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a
workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified
person, so as to prevent any danger.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.
• This product is not protected against the effects of freezing and shall
not be left outside during freezing weather conditions.
• Only connect the mains plug to a mains outlet protected by a residual
current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA.
• In Austria, the product may be operated in the vicinity of swimming
pools and garden ponds only if a suitable ÖVE-tested safety isolating
transformer is connected upstream in addition to the ground fault
circuit interrupter.
• The pump must not be used when people or pets are in the water.
