The exhaust duct should be as short and straight
as possible.

The diameter of the exhaust air line should not be
smaller than
120
mm, otherwise a higher running
noise or reduced extraction performance can be
expected.

Only use or shape bends with large radii. Small
radii reduce the air performance of the extractor
bonnet.
•
Use only smooth pipes or flexible exhaust hoses
made of non-combustible material as exhaust air
ducting
•
If the exhaust air duct is laid horizontally, a
minimum slope of 1 cm per metre or an angle of
inclination of 2° must be observed. (Fig. C)
Otherwise condensation could run into the motor of
the extractor bonnet.

If the exhaust air is fed into an exhaust air duct,
the end of the inlet spigot must be directed in the
direction of flow.

If the extract air duct is routed through cool rooms,
attics, etc., a strong temperature gradient can
occur

water must be expected. This makes it necessary
to insulate the extract air duct.

Under certain circumstances, a condensation
water barrier must be installed in addition to
sufficient insulation. (available in leading DIY
stores).
