10. Customer service
If you have any technical questions about your
machine, please contact your dealer's customer
service office. Before calling the after-sales service,
please note down the model/type designation of your
appliance.
The type plate with this information is located inside
the appliance (remove the grease filter).
11. Installation
Before installing the unit, be sure to observe
the following:
•
Installation of the units only in a suitable place.
•
Checking the wall / ceiling for load-bearing
capacity and load-bearing capacity
•
Checking the course of electrical and other
cables on and in the wall or ceiling to prevent
them from being drilled into.

Checking the condition and load capacity of the
electrical cables
We recommend that the unit be installed by a
professional.
When installing the extractor bonnet, strictly observe
the minimum distances between the hob and the
extractor bonnet (see chapter 11.1 "Installation
instructions") and follow the numbering of the work
steps and the additional instructions. The vapours
are exhausted to the outside through an exhaust
hose connected to the connection ring.
The diameter of the exhaust hose must match that of
the connecting ring. If a smoke check valve is used
or provided, check that it can open and close freely
after the exhaust hose has been installed. The
bonnet can be equipped with one (top) or two (top
and rear) exhaust openings.
The cooker bonnet is usually pre-set for use of the
upper exhaust opening, for use as an exhaust
bonnet.

The unused fume cupboard openings are fitted with a
plastic cover. This plastic cover can be easily
or
removed by turning it anticlockwise and optionally
mounted on another, non-required fume cupboard
opening.
11.1 Installation information

Do not connect the appliance to the mains before
installed.
11.2
Use of the extractor bonnet as an exhaust
bonnet (with air exhaust to the outside)
If the cooker bonnet is equipped with a charcoal filter
at the factory, you must remove it.
It is only useful for the use of your extractor bonnets
in recirculation mode.
11.3 Conversion of the extractor bonnet into a
recirculation bonnet
If you wish to use the appliance as a recirculation
bonnet, if so equipped, you must fit the active
charcoal filter(s) to the air motor before using the
bonnet.
For some models, the activated charcoal filter(s)
is/are included in the scope of delivery.
Otherwise, you must obtain the activated charcoal
filter(s) from the supplier/dealer of your cooker
bonnet.
In addition, you must switch your bonnet to "filter
position" inside the bonnet using the device provided
for this purpose (lever or ball handle).
11.4 Electrical connection
Before connecting the extractor bonnet, check
that the voltage (V) indicated on the rating plate
corresponds to the mains voltage of your home.
Never install the unit if the information on the
rating plate does not correspond to your mains
voltage.
The type plate is located inside the extractor bonnet,
behind the grease filter.
If the cooker bonnet is equipped with a standard
plug, connect it to an easily accessible standard

socket.
