This symbol points out useful tips and draws your attention to correct procedures and behaviour. Observing the
instructions marked with this symbol will save you many a problem.
Caution, dangers
•
If the cooker bonnet is operated in exhaust air mode and fireplaces at the same time, the
negative pressure in the installation room of the fireplace must not exceed 4 Pa (4 x 10-5
bar).
•
Keep small children away from the appliance. Children are only allowed to operate the appliance under adult
supervision.
•
The device may only be operated by physically, sensory or mentally impaired persons under the supervision of
persons responsible for their safety.
•
The appliance is designed for household use only and is to be used exclusively for this purpose.
•
The installation must be carried out by qualified personnel.
•
The appliance and the filters must be cleaned regularly in order to function properly. Please refer to the chapter
"Cleaning and maintenance".
•
Filters containing grease or oil are a great fire hazard.
•
The exterior of the unit may only be cleaned when it is switched off.
•
For cleaning inside the unit, it must be disconnected from the mains.
•
Flambéing under extractor bonnets is not permitted under any circumstances.
•
In the event of a malfunction of the unit, contact the customer service. Do not attempt to repair the appliance
yourself.
•
Keep the room well ventilated when operating the appliance over a gas cooker.
•
The unit's exhaust air hose must be routed to the outside in a separate exhaust air shaft. It must not be routed
through any other shafts or chimneys.
•
Read the operating instructions / installation instructions thoroughly before installing the unit.
•
Check whether the technical data (V and Hz) on the type plate of the appliance correspond to those of your
house installation. If they do not match, return the appliance to the place of purchase. If you are unsure, ask your
electricity supplier.
•
Any proof of warranty must be provided exclusively by your dealer's warranty certificate and/or the purchase
receipt.
•
Accessible parts on the appliance may become hot if cooking utensils are placed underneath.
2. Intended use
The appliance is intended for household use.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by
improper use or incorrect operation.
Extractor bonnets draw off unpleasant odours
and vapours and create pleasant room air.
Grease particles, vapours and also moisture are
absorbed by the grease filter.
A properly dimensioned extractor bonnet creates a
pleasant room climate without draughts and ensures
a sustainable humidity of 40 - 0%.
