IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
• Take the product out of the packaging.
• Inspect the product and any accessories to ensure they are intact.
4.2- Assembly
WARNING! Before starting assembly or changing accessories, turn it off and disconnect
from electricity mains.
Selecting pump location
• Install the pump in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated area that allows sufficient space for
maintenance and protects it from freezing temperatures.
• Secure the pump to a solid foundation, preferably concrete, and ensure proper drainage is in
place.
• Position the pump as close as possible to the water source to minimize friction in the suction
pipe and maximize efficiency.
Installing the pump
• Ensure the pump is positioned upright and
firmly anchored with appropriate bolts on a
level surface.
• To reduce noise and vibration, place the
pump on an elastic support, such as a rubber
mat.
• Verify the pump is properly oriented,
aligning the water flow direction with the
arrows marked on the pump.
• Ensure the pipe is properly supported and
does not rest on the pump unit.
Installing suction line (not supplied)
• Horizontal sections of the pipe should
gradually slope upward from the water
source to the pump to avoid air pockets.
Ensure the suction line is not positioned higher than the pump.
• The end of the suction line must be at least 20 cm below the water surface.
• Install a foot valve (a) to prevent backflow and filter debris, such as stones, from entering
the pump. See Fig. 2 for illustration.
• If the water is contaminated, use a pre-filter to protect the pump from dirt and particles.
Installing discharge line (not supplied)
• It is advisable to use a pipe with a diameter equal to or greater than the pump outlet.
Electrical connection
• The electrical connection must be performed by qualified technicians in accordance with the
regulations applicable in the pump's installation country.
• Before replacing the terminal board cover or removing/disassembling the pump, ensure the
power supply has been disconnected.
• Verify that the power supply matches the connection specifications of the pump unit (refer
to Table 1 or the rating label).
