- Push the button (1) and turn the safety guard until
the closed section is facing the operator.
- Make sure that the guard is securely positioned:
The button (1) must engage and you should not be
able to turn the safety guard.
5.3
Dust filter
See illustration A on page 2.
Always fit the dust filter (7) if the surroundings
are heavily polluted.
The machine heats up faster when the dust
filter (7) is fitted. It is protected by the
electronics system from overheating.
Attaching:
Fit the dust filter (7) as shown.
Removal:
Holding the dust filter (7) at the edges, raise it
slightly and then pull it downwards and remove.
Rotating battery pack
See illustration B on page 2.
The rear section of the machine can be rotated 270°
in 3 stages, thus allowing the machine's shape to be
adapted to the working conditions. Only operate the
machine when it is in an engaged position.
First press the locking button (17), rotate the rear
part of the machine while keeping it pressed.
Release the button while rotating the machine. The
locking mechanism must engage with an audible
"click".
5.4
Battery pack
Charge the battery pack (12) before use.
Recharge the battery pack if performance
diminishes.
The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and
30°C.
Battery packs have a capacity and signal indicator
(10) (depends on design variant):
- Press the button (11), the LEDs indicate the
charge level.
- The battery pack is almost empty and must be
recharged if one LED is flashing.
5.5
Removing and inserting the battery pack
Removing:
Press the battery pack release (6) button and
remove the battery pack (12).
Inserting:
Slide in the battery pack (12) until it engages.
6. Attaching the Accessory
Prior to any conversion work: remove battery
pack from machine. The machine must be
switched off and the spindle must be at a standstill.
6.1
Inserting the accessory
See illustration C, page 2.
- The two sides of the support flange (15) are
different: Place the support flange (15) around the
spindle (16) in such a way that the large collar
diameter which corresponds to the accessory (14)
is facing upwards.
- Place the accessory (14) on the support flange
(15). The accessory must lay flat on the
supporting flange.
6.2
Tightening/loosening the clamping nut
Securing the clamping nut (13):
See illustration D, page 2.
The 2 sides of the clamping nut (13) are different.
Screw the clamping nut onto the spindle (16) as
follows:

- A) For thick (6 mm) accessories:
The edge of the clamping (13) faces downwards
so that the 2-hole nut can be attached securely to
the spindle.
A) For thin (3 mm) accessories:
The edge of the clamping nut (13) faces upwards
so that the thin accessory can be clamped
securely.
- Lock the spindle (16) using the Allen key (18).
Tighten the clamping nut (13) by turning it
clockwise using the 2-hole spanner (19) (see
illustration D, page 2).
Releasing the clamping nut:
- Lock the spindle using the Allen key (18). Remove
the clamping nut (13) by turning it anti-clockwise
using the 2-hole spanner (19) (see illustration D,
page 2).
7. Use
7.1
Switching on and off
Always guide the machine with both hands.
Switch on first, then guide the accessory
towards the workpiece.
The machine must not be allowed to draw in
additional dust and shavings. When switching
the machine on and off and keep it away from dust
deposits. After switching off the machine, only place
it down when the motor has come to a standstill.
