Putting the kiln into service
The controller may not set a temperature range above the allowable maximum temperature of
your kiln. Please ask the manufacturer of your kiln, if you do not know the maximum temperature
of your device.
Plug the kiln into the socket of the controller. Remove the protective cardboard tube and connect
the temperature sensor to the sensor connector of your kiln. Connect the controller to the 230
Volt socket earthed in accordance with the regulations.

Controller operation
Use the temperature controller to control the temperature of your furnace.
Insert the supplied temperature sensor into the sensor socket on the back of the unit.
After switching on, the controller first shows all display segments, then briefly the current
software version. Then it changes to the operating mode.
In the operating mode, the controller displays the actual temperature in white and the set
temperature in red.
If „E - 05" is displayed, the temperature sensor is not plugged in or is defective.

Setting the set temperature:
You can change the set temperature with keys 4 and 5.
The set value is automatically saved if you do not press any key again.
Self-optimization:
If the preset parameters are not sufficient for your application (temperature oscillates too much
above or below the setpoint), you can perform a self-optimization. To do this, first set your desi-
red working temperature (e.g. 800° C). The furnace must be cold and empty.
To start the function, press [Set], [FNC] and [SET] in succession.
The controller changes to the „Tune" mode, „T" is shown in the display.
When „T" disappears from the display, the optimization is finished.
The service life of the heating elements is shortened when the furnace is operated near the
maximum temperature. Therefore, only leave the furnace permanently at maximum temperature
if this is absolutely necessary.
