Always wear heavy duty gloves when you repair the
cutting attachment. This is very sharp and can easily
cause cuts.

Use only original spare parts for repairs.

To install the shaft into the gearbox
1. Loosen the clamp screw (A) and remove the set
screw (B).

2. Align the arrow on the shaft with the set screw hole
in the gearbox.
3. Push the shaft until the line mark (C) touches the
gearbox.
4. Align the set screw holes in the shaft and the
gearbox.
5. Replace and tighten the set screw.
6. Tighten the clamp screw.

To perform daily maintenance
•
Do the daily maintenance tasks for the power unit.
Refer to the operator's manual for the power unit.
•
Examine the product before each operation. Make
sure that the product is installed correctly. Replace
damaged parts.
•
Make sure that the blade is installed correctly.
•
Check that the blade does not rotate when the the
throttle/power trigger is released.
•
Check that the cutting attachment guard is
undamaged and not cracked. Replace the cutting
attachment guard if it has been exposed to impact or
is cracked.
•
Check that the blade is not damaged and not
cracked. Replace the blade if necessary.
•
Check that the support flage is not damaged.
•
Check that the locknut is tight.

Assembly
To adjust the cutting depth of the
cutting attachment
The cutting depth of the cutting attachment must be
adjusted before starting work.

1. Loosen the wing nut.
2. Set the desired cutting depth.
3. Tighten the wing nut.
Maintenance
To perform weekly maintenance
•
Check that the bevel gear is filled to ¾ with grease.
Fill if necessary using special grease.
To check the bevel gear
The bevel gear is filled with the right quantity of grease
at the factory. The grease in the bevel gear does not
normally need to be changed except if repairs are
carried out.
