NOTES FOR THE OR THOPAEDIC TECHNICIAN
• NeurODYN® CArBON NrG / NeurODYN® CArBON can neither be ground nor thermo-
formed.
• For fitting in the shoe, the brace size is determined according to the shoe size.
• The carbon sole of the orthosis is always smaller than the specified shoe size. The insole can
be cut to fit the shape of the original insole 1A.
• The position of the orthosis in the shoe is determined and secured by gluing on the insole.
The double-sided adhesive strip on the cover sole can be used for gluing.
• use the enclosed insole to determine the pressure-free position of the brace in the shoe.
Pressure points can only be eliminated by pushing the orthosis away from the pressure point.
To do this, the insole must be removed and reattached in the new position. The orthosis can
then not slide back towards the pressure point due to the form-fitting insole in the shoe.
• Localised pressure points along the edge of the shinbone can also be made hollow by gluing
the enclosed padding strips to the back of the shell pad.
• ensure that the orthosis is not slanted in the shoe if the heel is too high and that it is not slan-
ted backwards if the heel is too low. Check the heel spring of the shoe and adjust if necessary.
• To check, it is best to place the shoe with the brace in it next to the contralateral leg. The front
edge of the frontal support should now be at the same angle as the tibia of the contralateral
leg when standing upright 2A, 3A.
• if necessary, readjust the heel height of the orthosis using the levelling cut-outs included in the
scope of delivery 4A.
• The bar pad included in the scope of delivery ensures that the required minimum distance is
maintained between the bar and the back of the foot during fitting.
• You should always check the success of the fitting by carrying out a dynamic fitting. Please
allow the user to walk over uneven terrain and inclined surfaces. The fitting result should also
be checked while seated.
• instead of the insole, we recommend using a customised orthopaedic soft foam insole.
