INTENDED USE
NeurODYN® CArBON / NeurODYN® CArBON NrG is a foot drop brace to support a physiologi-
cal gait pattern in the case of existing foot drop weakness.
INDIC ATIONS

REF
• Conservative / postoperative
• Mild poliomyelitis
• Flaccid and (moderately severe) spastic foot drop paresis (e.g. after stroke, multiple sclerosis,
peroneal nerve palsy, other neurological/muscular diseases)
• impairment of walking in the event of neuromuscular damage to the foot lifting muscles
(flaccid paralysis in peroneal nerve palsy, CNs damage, nerve root damage to the lumbar spine)

sured person) due to e.g. peroneal nerve palsy, lumbar root damage, stroke
CONTR A- INDIC ATIONS
• Allergic, inflammatory or injury-related skin changes (e.g. swellings, redness) of the body areas
to be cared for
• impaired circulation or lymphatic soft tissue swelling
• Neurogenic disorders of the sensory system and skin trophism in the body area to be cared for
(sensory disorders with and without skin damage)
• strong supination position
• Lymphatic drainage disorders
• Circulatory disorders, PNP
• severe spastic foot drop paresis
SIDE- EFFEC TS
if used appropriately and correctly, there are no general side effects, intolerances with long-term
effects or allergic reactions known to date.
INTENDED PATIENT TARGET GROUP
The target group is all patients, taking into account indications and contraindications. instruc-
tion and allocation of the correct size is carried out by medical professionals
PUT TING IT ON AND USE
• remove the original sole of your shoe 1.
• Open both straps at the Velcro end that sticks to the lower leg shell. it has an orange ring 2.
• Place NeurODYN® CArBON / NeurODYN® CArBON NrG in the shoe and make sure that the
foot plate fits snugly with the glued-on insole 3.
• slip into the shoe in a sitting position. After you have put on the shoe, position your foot
forwards until your lower leg is in contact with the frontal support 4.
• Now grasp the open Velcro end of the upper fastener and guide it around the lower leg. Fas-
ten the Velcro end with the attached deflection loop on the strap area that lies over the fron-
tal attachment 5.
• repeat this process with the lower strap 6.
• if necessary, you can now use the Velcro ends with the black ring to fine-tune the belt
tension 7, 8.
• in the area of the lower leg frame, the course of the straps is controlled by Velcro points. if the
inclination of the strap does not fit the lower leg perfectly, you can lift the strap off the shell
and reposition it.
selection of the shoe:
• The selection of the right shoe is crucial for the function of the NeurODYN® CArBON /
NeurODYN® CArBON NrG.
• Discuss the correct footwear with your technician. The effective heel height of the shoe should
be approx. 10 mm.
• Closed shoes with a removable footbed are best suited. This provides sufficient volume for the
brace. it is important that the heel is enclosed.
• There is no body weight limit for the brace.
• There are also no restrictions for everyday activities.
• However, the brace is not approved for sporting activities.
