The charger must not be used to charge 6 volt and 12 volt lead batteries. If
batteries with a rated voltage of 6 volt or 12 volt are charged with the charger,
gas is created immediately. Explosive oxyhydrogen gas is generated.
The charger must not be used to charge non-rechargeable batteries and/or
nickel-cadmium batteries.
When charging these battery types with the charger, the outer cover may
rupture explosively.
Description
The charger is a product of up-to-date , microprocessor-controlled charging
technology. This technology permits high output together with low weight and
small dimensions. By using high-quality electronics, it operates with high
efficiency. Automatic charging affords protection and prevents harmful battery
overload. This considerably extends the life of the battery. Once connected to
the battery and the mains, the charger is ready for operation.
The charger is designed for parallel operation and buffer operation. At all
times, users can remain connected, be added or switched off. Users are
supplied with the power and the battery is charged at the same time. User
current should be lower than the maximum charging current, otherwise the
battery will not be charged.
Using a charge control panel, e.g. the CALIRA LK-Panel V, the individual
charging phases of the battery can be displayed. Possible malfunctions of the
charger are also indicated on the CALIRA LK-Panel V.
If the charger is operated together with a temperature sensor for the battery, the
charger controls the charging voltage automatically depending on the battery
temperature. This ensures a particularly effective and gently charging process
