Measuring threaded rod
WARNING
Risk of injury if the power tool falls! Lifting or carrying the power tool by unsuitable parts could
bend or break these parts and allow the power tool to fall.

Lift and carry the power tool only by the main grip or by the housing, or in its case. Attached parts
such as scaffold hook, depth gauge or container are not designed for transport purposes.
Using depth gauge
1.Press and hold down the release button (depth gauge).
2.Slide the depth gauge to the length at which you want to cut off the rod.
3.When reading the setting, orient yourself by the indicator on the product.
Using the parallel guide
4.If necessary, adapt the parallel guide for M6 threaded rods.
5.Position the threaded rod at the length at which you want to cut off the rod.
6.When reading the length, orient yourself by the indicator on the product.
Operating threaded-rod cutter
In the cutting process, the thread in the cutting blade must be neatly engaged in the thread of the
threaded rod. This prevents damage to the thread of the threaded rod and to the cutting blades.
Make sure that the size of the threaded rod to be cut matches the size of the cutting blades.

3.Position the threaded-rod cutter on the threaded rod.
4.Press the control switch and hold it down until the cycle has completed.
Care and maintenance

Always remove the battery before carrying out care and maintenance tasks!
Care of the product
• Carefully remove stubborn dirt.
• Carefully clean the air vents, if present, with a dry, soft brush.
• Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone
as these can attack the plastic parts.
• Use a dry, clean cloth to clean the contacts of the product.
Care of the Liion batteries
• Never use a battery with clogged air vents. Clean the air vents carefully using a dry, soft brush.
• Avoid unnecessary exposure of the battery to dust and dirt. Never expose the battery to high levels
of moisture (e.g. by being dipped in water or left in the rain).
If a battery has been soaked by moisture, treat it as a damaged battery. Isolate it in a non-flammable
container and consult Hilti Service.
• Keep the battery free of extraneous oil and grease. Do not permit dust or dirt to accumulate
unnecessarily on the battery. Clean the battery with a dry, soft brush or a clean, dry cloth. Do not
use cleaning agents containing silicone as these can attack the plastic parts.
Do not touch the contacts of the battery and do not remove the factory-applied grease from the
contacts.
