Problem
The LED indicator "Battery Status" is
solid red although the power adapter
is connected to the eMag 43 HD .
The LED indicator "Battery Status"
does not flash green, although the
power adapter is connected and
plugged into a power outlet.
The NiMH batteries are not charging.

Solution
• Charge the NiMH batteries for at least 2 hours or replace them with AAA
disposable alkaline batteries. Do not charge the disposable alkaline
batteries.
• If the problem persists, disconnect the power adapter and call your
eMag dealer.
• Make sure the small end of the power adapter is fully inserted into the
power connector of the unit.
• Ensure that the power outlet is supplying power and functions properly.
If the outlet is connected to a switch, make sure the switch is on.
• Make sure the NiMH batteries are inserted correctly. –> page 12.
(Do not replace batteries/NiMH batteries while the power adapter is
connected.
• Use the supplied power adapter to charge the eMag 43 HD .
Please note that a USB port does not supply enough power to charge
batteries.
• Make sure the small end of the power adapter is fully inserted into the
power connector of the unit.
• Ensure that the power outlet is supplying power and functions properly.
If the outlet is connected to a switch, make sure the switch is on.
• Some rechargeable batteries have low charge rates and specify a "MAX
Charging Current". Do NOT use rechargeable batteries that specify a MAX
Charging Current below 250 mA.
