– Insert the indentor PS 130.../E (92) into adaptor AU 231-PS/E (90) pressing the pin to release the
dies and slide it until it is blocked by the pin (84).
– Insert the conductor into the connector.
– Locate the connector in the containing die (93); position the containing die into the adaptor each
time, pushing it until locked into the operating position (when the upper grooves correspond
with the grub screws inside the adaptor).
– For every operation, ensure the die is correctly located in the adaptor with its upper slots in
line with the internal adaptor pins (see FIG. 1).
– Each indenting operation is completed when indentor and die are fully closed; it is recom-
mended to continue pumping until the maximum pressure valve is activated and a "click" is
heard. (see § 6.3).

6. USE ON CONNECTORS ON COPPER CABLES (Ref. Figs. 4 and 5)
6.1) Fitting the dies
6.1.1) Special dies
– Select dies appropriate for the job to be carried out.
– Locate the lower die (95) into the seat of the ram (2) by pulling knob (20).
– Insert the upper die (94) into the fork (5) and lock it into the operating position (when
grub screws (8) on the arms of the fork correspond with the grooves on the sides of the die).
6.1.2) Semi-circular dies
– Select dies appropriate for the job to be carried out.
– Insert the lower part of the adaptor AU231-130-C (96) into the seat of the ram (2) by pulling
knob (20).
– Insert the upper part of the adaptor AU231-130-C (96) into the fork (5) and lock it into the op-
erating position according to the knobs (8) on the arms of the fork correspond with the grooves
on the sides of the adaptor.
– Insert one of the two semi-circular dies (97) into the lower part of the adaptor by pressing button (80)
and sliding it until it is blocked by the pin (81).
– Insert the other semi-circular die into the upper part of the adaptor by pressing the button
(82) and sliding it until locked.
6.2) Positioning dies
– Insert the conductor into the connector.
– Locate the connector between the dies at the desired crimp position.
– Operate the pump until the dies touch the connector barrel.
