20. CLAMPING THE LOCK NUTS
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HAND-TIGHTENING OF THE NEW TRIANGULAR NUT ON CAM LOCKS.

Triangular nut.

Insert the cam (A), external tab lock washer (B) and the
nut (C) (fig.3), rotate the triangular nut manually.

It is very important to tighten the nut by hand. Tightening of the nut with pliers, spanners, monkey wrenches or any other kind
of tool, can lead to an immediate seizure of the lock, or it could seize after a period of use.
21. RE-PROGRAMMABLE LOCKS
Before installing the lock and tightening the nuts make sure that the lock has already been programmed.
The lock is definitely programmed if it can enable inserting and removing the key from use (silver colour).
PROGRAMMING

Insert the programming key (gold colour).
•
Leave the key for 1 second.
•
Rotate the key to the vertical position.
RI-PROGRAMMING
C

Insert the programming key (gold colour)
•
Rotate the key (from vertical position to the referce
notch).
MECHANISMS: Locking mechanisms included in the terminal assembly of the lock should move freely without transmitting
any force to the lock.
LUBRIFICATION: In order to keep a correct functioning it is worthwhile to lubricate the locks at least every 6 months with spray
lubricants avoiding heavy oils as they entrap dirt.

Install with user key inserted.

Tighten the external tabs of the lock washer (B) .

Extract the key.

The lock has been programmed, so place the
programming key (gold colour) in a safe spot and
take the use key (silver colour).

Extract the key.
•
The lock is ready to be programmed with the new
key. Pick a new key kit and repeat the operation 1
and 2.
