Special Functions
The special functions can only be selected after the appli-
ance has been switched on with the lever.
Reheat or Defrost:
The corresponding control lamp indicates the function.
For defrosting and then toasting frozen

To reheat bread that has already been

Stop
To stop the toasting process prematurely.
WARNING:
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains and let it cool down
before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water! It could cause an elec-
tric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Housing
Use only a moderately damp cloth to clean the exterior of
the appliance.
Crumb Tray
The crumb tray is located at the bottom left of the appliance.
• Pull out the crumb tray by the handle, remove the bread
residues and push the tray back in.
Problem
The appliance has no
function.
The bread is getting too dark.
The bread is too light.

Possible Cause
The appliance has no power supply.
The appliance is defective.
The toasting level is too high.
The toasting level was set too low.
Bread Roll Attachment
Do you want to warm up or toast bread rolls?
1. Raise the bread roll attachment by sliding the catch on
the top right of the appliance towards the toasting slot.
The catch will lock into place.
2. Operate the appliance as described previously.
To fold the bun attachment down again, slide the catch to
the right.
Storage
• Clean the appliance as described.
• We recommend storing the appliance in its original
packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period
of time.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in
a well-ventilated and dry place.
Winding Device for Mains Cable
You can wind up the mains cable at the bottom part.
Remedy
Check the power socket with another appliance.
Insert the mains plug correctly.
Check the house fuse.
Contact our service or a specialist.
Select a lower toasting level.
Select a higher toasting level.
