When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to person:
1. The product is for household use only.
2. To use this appliance, connect it to a single-phase AC supply with the voltage indicated
on the rating plate.
3. To avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
4. When not in use, turn off and unplug the appliance.
5. When using a heater near children, persons with disabilities or elderly persons, or when
leaving the heater operating and unattended, it is crucial to exercise extreme caution.
6. Never place the heater directly below an electrical socket outlet.
7. Never run the cord under carpeting or cover it with throw rugs, runners or anything
similar. Keep the cord away from congested areas, so it cannot be tripped over.
8. Do not use the heater if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the heater has been dropped
or damaged. If the heater malfunctions, do not use it until it has been properly repaired.
9. Damaged supply cords must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a
similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
10. Avoid using extension cords – this could overheat the appliance and create a fire risk.
11. Use the heater in well-ventilated areas. Do not insert or allow objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening. To minimise the risk of fire, do not block any air intakes
or exhaust openings. Do not use it on soft surfaces, such as beds and sofas, where
openings could get blocked. Only use the heater on flat, dry surfaces.
12. To minimise the risk of fire, flammable materials, surfaces and substances must be
kept at least 1m away from the front, sides and rear of this appliance. 13. There are
hot, arcing and sparking parts inside this heater, so it must not be used in areas where
petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are stored, such as garages and workshops.
14. Never place it in a position, where it could fall into a bathtub or other water containers.
15. Do not touch the heater with wet hands – this is an electrical hazard.
16. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns and personal injury, do not let bare skin
touch hot surfaces.
17. Before moving the heater, unplug it and let it cool down for 15 minutes. If provided, use
handles when moving this appliance.
18. Do not use other electrical appliances with the same electrical circuit as the heater –
this could cause an overload.
19. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
20. Small children must be supervised when near this appliance during operation.
