Connection to the
power supply

Have the appliance checked by
a qualified electrician or service
technician if you are in doubt as
to whether the appliance has been
properly grounded.
The appliance comes with an UL listed,
3-wire power supply cord.
The appliance requires a 3-wire
receptacle.
The receptacle must be installed
by a licensed electrician only.
The receptacle must be fitted with
a 10 to 16 A fuse or higher. Please
observe in this coherence the following
table:

Switching on the
appliance
Press the on/off button.

When the appliance has been switched
on, the appliance begins to cool down.
When the doors are open, the interior
lights come on.
The preset temperatures (factory
settings) are reached after some
hours. Do not put any food in the
appliance beforehand.
When the ice maker has been
activated at once: Do not use the
first ice cubes from the ice maker!
Discard the ice production of the
first 24 hours after switching on the
ice maker.
To change the preset temperatures
see "Setting the temperature".
Switching off and
disconnecting the
appliance
Switching off the
appliance
Press the on/off button.
If switching off the appliance for
a period longer than 2 weeks,
remove the water filter.
Before switching on the appliance
again, install a new filter (see
"Exchanging the filter").
Disconnecting the
appliance
If you do not use the appliance for
a prolonged period:
Switch off the appliance.
Shut off the water supply line.
Shut off the water supply line
several hours before switching off
the appliance.
Remove and discard the water filter.
Secure the filter cap!
Take all food out of the appliance.
Pull out the mains plug or switch off
the fuse.
Empty the ice cube container.
Clean the appliance interior
(see "Cleaning the appliance").
To prevent odors, leave the doors
open.
French door style
The 3-door variant allows for the left
refrigerator compartment door to be
opened without first having to open the
right door.
Care should be taken when closing
the door. The appliance could
become damaged!
The folding rail attached to the door of
the left refrigerator compartment has to
be folded if the doors are closed.
A heater is integrated in the folding rail for
avoiding condensation and has to be
switched on as soon as damp forms on
the rail.
