CAUTION

Hydraulic oil is highly flammable. Keep it away from sparks, open flames, and do not
smoke nearby.

Hydraulic oil can irritate eyes and skin. If ingested, it may cause diarrhea and vomiting.

Oil Level Inspection
1. The oil should be warm but not hot. If cold, warm up the unit.
2. Adjust the stopper and make three or four cuts, noting where the rebar breaks.
3. Partially cut a short piece of rebar, stopping just before it breaks off. Unplug the unit from the power
source.
4. With the partially cut rebar in place, tilt the unit so the oil plug is at the top. Allow the unit to cool
down if needed.
5. Remove the Oil Plug and Seal.
CAUTION Never remove the oil plug when the unit is hot.
6. Check the Oil Level. If low, top up with a high-quality hydraulic oil with anti-wear and anti-abrasion
properties (ISO viscosity grade VG46; examples: Shell Tellus 46, Mobil DTE-25, or Esso Nuto H46).
7. After topping up, extract air from the system. Tilt the cutter lengthwise in one direction, then return it
to a level position. Repeat this process in the opposite direction until all air bubbles are removed.
NOTE The cutter will not function properly if the oil contains air bubbles.
8. Replace the Seal Washer and plug. Reconnect the cutter to the power source and fully sever the rebar.
Oil Change
Change the hydraulic oil once a year or sooner if it appears dirty.
1. Unplug the Unit from the power source.
2. Remove the Oil Plug and Packing.
3. Drain the Oil: Tilt the cutter over a suitable container to allow oil to drain out.

When the flow slows, tilt the unit towards the rear to ensure any oil trapped in the piston
housing runs out.

Once the housing is empty, tilt the unit in the opposite direction to drain any residue from
the pump case.
4. Fill with Fresh Oil: With the drain hole positioned at the top, slowly fill the unit with fresh oil. Replace
the plug and lightly tighten it.
In case of eye contact: Rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes and consult
a physician.
In case of skin contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
If ingested: Seek immediate medical help. Do not induce vomiting deliberately.
