CAUTION! Flying ends can pose a hazard to anyone nearby. Set up safety screens.
2. Do Not Cover Air Vents
CAUTION! Covering the air vents can cause the motor to overheat and potentially burn out.
3. If hydraulic oil temperature exceeds 70°C (138°F), power output will decrease. Allow the unit to cool
before resuming operation, especially in summer when the aluminum pump case heats up quickly.
4. If there is a noticeable drop in power and the motor is unusually hot, check the carbon brush.
5. If the piston fails to retract completely, use a rebar or flat metal bar to push the rear cutter block
backward to manually retract the piston.
CAUTION! Never use any part of your hand to push the cutter block, even if gloved.
6. After retracting the piston, pull the trigger switch briefly to partially advance the piston, then unplug
the unit. Check the piston and housing for accumulated dust or iron filings that may be jamming the
piston. After cleaning, if the piston still does not automatically retract when fully extended, the piston
itself may be damaged. In this case, return the unit to an authorized agent for repair.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Cutter Blocks
Before Use: Always ensure the retaining bolts on each cutter block are properly tightened. Using a
•
loose block can cause damage to the blocks.
•
Condition Check: Inspect the cutter block condition. If any cutting edge is dull or chipped, loosen the
retaining bolts and rotate both blocks to expose two new edges. Then, replace and tighten the bolts.
(Each block has four cutting edges.)
•
Replacement: When all four cutting edges are worn, or if either block is cracked or otherwise
damaged, replace both blocks.
CAUTION! A loose or cracked block may result in injury to the operator.
Cleaning cutter after use
CAUTION! Wear gloves to protect hands from metal splinters. Avoid using compressed air,
as blasting can cause metal filings and dust to become airborne, potentially entering eyes
and respiratory system.
1. Disconnect the Unit from the power source.
2. Wipe or brush away all dirt and metal filings, paying particular attention to the lower half of the piston
where dirt tends to accumulate.
Oil Level Check
Since the cutter operates hydraulically, the oil level should be checked frequently, ideally daily. Insufficient oil
levels can result in a pressure drop, reducing cutting power.
