ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these safety instructions carefully before
use and keep them carefully.
! - This symbol indicates the risk of injury or damage
to the device.
! Wear protective gloves, suitable footwear, leg
guards and eye and hearing protection when working
with a chainsaw.
! If the work presents a risk of head injury, a safety
helmet is required. A face shield should also be used
when felling trees and cutting branches from fallen or
fallen trees.
1. When the chain saw is in operation, keep all parts
of the body away from the saw chain. Before start-
ing the chain saw, make sure that the chain does not
touch the saw. A moment of inattention while working
with a chain saw can cause your clothing or body to
become entangled in the chain saw.
2. Hold power tools only by insulated handles, as
the saw chain may come into contact with hidden
wires. Contact of saw chains with such a "live" wire
can cause exposed metal parts of the power tool to
become "live" and cause the operator to receive an
electric shock.
3. Wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Pro-
tective equipment for the head, hands, legs and feet
is recommended. Adequate protective clothing to
reduce personal injury from flying debris or accidental
contact with the chain saw.
4. Always maintain proper posture and chain saw only
when standing on a firm, safe and level surface. Slip-
pery or unstable surfaces, such as ladders, can cause
loss of balance or control of the chain saw.
5. Be extra-extraordinary when cutting brush and
trees. Thin material can secure you with a saw chain
and be whipped towards you or throw you off bal-
ance.
6. Carry the chain saw by the front handle with the
chain saw turned off and away from the body. Always
fit the guide bar cover when transporting or storing
the chain saw. Proper chainsaw handling reduces the
risk of accidental contact with a moving chainsaw.
7. Follow instructions for lubrication, connecting
chains and changing accessories. An improperly
tensioned or lubricated chain can break or increase
the risk of kickback.
8. Keep handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
Greasy and oiled handles are slippery and loss of
control through.
9. Cut only wood. restore the chainsaw for purposes
for which it was not intended. For example:
do not use the chainsaw to cut plastics, masonry or
non-wooden building materials. Using the chainsaw
for other activities than it is intended can lead to a
dangerous situation.
1. I pre-check the work, whether the chainsaw is in
the right condition and starts according to its safe
prescription. In particular, check whether:
• The coasting brake works properly;
• The bar and gear cover are
correctly mounted;
• The chain has been sharpened and tensioned in
accordance with regulations.
2. Do not start the chain saw with the chain guard
installed. Starting the chain saw with the chain guard
installed can cause the chain guard to be thrown for-
ward, causing personal injury and damage to objects
around the operator.
Special safety notice for the top handle chain saw
1. Before storage, perform cleaning and maintenance
in accordance with the instructions for use.
2. Ensure the safe location of the chain saw when
transporting the car to prevent fuel or chain oil leak-
age, especially the tool and personal injury.
3. Do not fill chain oil near fire. Never smoke when
adding chain oil.
4. National regulations may use a chainsaw restric-
tion.
5. If the device receives a strong impact or falls,
check the condition before continuing to work. Check
for functional elements and safety devices. In case
of any damage or doubt, ask an authorized service
center for inspection and repair.
6. Always activate the chain brake before starting the
chain saw.
7. Hold the saw firmly in place to prevent the saw
from skidding (sliding) or kicking back when starting
the cut.
8. At the end of the cut, be careful to hold for the
"drop".
9. Consider wind direction and speed. Avoid sawdust
and chain grease.
Protective equipment
1. To prevent injury to the head, eyes, hands or feet,
as well as to protect your hearing, the following pro-
tective equipment must be used while operating the
chain saw:
— The type of clothing should be appropriate, i.e. E.
should be tight-fitting, but should not be in the way.
Do not wear
jewelry or clothing that could become entangled in
bushes or shrubs. If you have long hair, always have
a hairnet!
— A safety helmet must be worn whenever work-
ing with a chainsaw. The protective helmet must be
checked at regular intervals to see if it is damaged
and must be replaced after 5 years at the latest. only
approved safety helmets allowed.
— The face shield of the safety helmet (or goggles)
protects against sawdust and wood chips. Always
wear safety glasses or a face shield when operating a
chain saw to prevent eye injury.
DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AT WORK
Kick - recoil
A chainsaw tends to kick back when the tip of the bar
(especially the last quarter of the bar) accidentally
touches wood or any other solid object. In this case,
the saw will move uncontrollably and bounce towards
the operator at full force (danger of injury!).
These dangerous kicks (kickbacks) can be avoided
