If the knife height is set correctly, tighten all the faste-
ning screws.
After installing the blades, refit the chip guard.
Knife height adjustment – (F)
To achieve a knife overlap of ~1.5mm, place the knife
adjustment template (E) on the knife head with both
guards firmly against the knife.
Loosen the assembly by turning the 6 screws (A)
clockwise using a nut wrench.
When the knife has already been pushed to the co-
rrect height using the guides on the template, tighten
the assembly again by turning the screws counter-
-clockwise. Make sure all 6 locking screws are tight.
! The edge of the knife is very prone to chipping. Be
careful when handling the template next to the knives
to avoid damaging them.
! Tighten all screws properly to prevent accidents
during planing.
Simultaneous arrangement of knife head and work
table.
Plan the workpiece and measure the thickness after
planing.
If the thicknesses at both ends of the workpiece are
not the same, perform the following steps.
Adjust the knife head shank and the work table so
that they are parallel. Use hardwood to make a tool
base gauge according to the dimensions in the pictu-
re (G). Make the settings according to the following
procedure.
Remove the depth adjustment handle, top and side
cover by loosening the socket head screws to expose
the height adjustment locknuts. (J)
A) Planing depth adjustment handle, (H)
B) Socket head screws, (H)
C) Adjustment lock nut, (J)
D) Height adjustment nut (J)
Loosen the adjustment lock nut (C). (J)
Adjust the height of the nut (D) up or down as requi-
red to match the base gauge. (K).When the desired
height is already set, tighten the lock nuts.
Refit the side and top cover and the depth adjustment
handle.
! Put away the base dipstick before starting the ma-
chine.
Stop
The planer is equipped with a head stop for planing
multiple boards to the same preset depth. Stops are
set at 0", 1/4" (6.4mm), 1/2" (12.7mm), 3/4" (19mm),
1" (25.4mm) and 1-1/ 4" (32mm) .
SETTING THE MINIMUM DEPTH TO WHICH THE
TRUCK CAN DRIVE.
Make sure the carriage is set above 1-1/4" (32 mm)
before attempting to adjust the head stop.
Rotate the head stop until the desired thickness
setting is displayed.
Unlock the carriage locking lever and lower the ca-
rriage down. Plan the workpiece in the desired in-
crements until the correct final thickness is achieved.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
! Before cleaning and maintenance, always pull the
power cord of the machine from the socket.
Store tools in a dry place and out of the reach of
children.
An increase in sawdust and other particles can cause
the machine to not work properly. It is therefore nece-
ssary to clean it regularly to ensure proper planing.
